Question by pennie: How do I submit a digital design to a company for textile or wallpapers?

I have several designs that I think would make great designs for textiles or wallpapers for homes, how do submit my designs for this purpose. What are the steps in submitting a design in this form.

It is almost impossible to get companies to accept unsolicited submissions. If they did, they would get 10000 a day and they just can't look at them. It is too easy for a person to make a drawing and call it a "design". Your best bet is to start a web page of your own to display a selection of your creations so they can be seen. This also helps you to show ownership if someone steals them. You may also google to find small design companies in your area and get their advice on how to proceed. Most major cities will have several individuals with their own design firms. You can check out blogs for advice (see references). Also, if you live near a major university, their may be a design department where you can get advice.
